Proof that I’m qualified to be a mathematician

In 1983, Miles Reid needed a term for resolutions of singularities that had no discrepancies with the canonical class of the manifold.  To make it clear they weren’t discrepant, he invented the world “crepant.” 

OK, math, throw some math at me and I’ll invent the SHIT out of some words.

(Moreover, given that I’m about to make crepes, and assuming that “creper” is French for “to make crepes”, I can incorrectly, but not inaccurately, say “Je suis crepant.”)

(Although “Ich suis crepant” seems a little more likely.  My brain does weird Franzödeutsch things.)
