
In math class yesterday, I gave my students a worksheet with this picture from Wikipedia, and asked them to explain why this “helping with incompleteness” was futile, on the grounds of
(1) Finite versus infinite
(2) Countable infinity versus uncountable infinity
Even if Wikipedia could make an infinitely long webpage for that article, it would still have put the numbers in some order, meaning that some real number (indeed, most real numbers) would have been left out. Teehee!
